A Month of Great Things

My husband keeps a list that he updates regularly called, Great Things.
On this list, he writes down all the great things that have happened in his day. He shared it with me recently and I wanted to share a few of them with you:

Thurs Aug 18, 2022
God is great
God is good

God is awesome, powerful, loving, holy, and perfect
Jesus is amazing!
Thank you, God, for the Holy Spirit

Tues Aug 23, 2022
It is GORGEOUS outside!
Beautiful weather - 80 degrees, breezy, cool, sun, and clouds, low humidity
So so gorgeous out here
Sitting on the back deck. Many leaves have already fallen.
The wind is blowing thru the leaves on the trees
SO PEACEFUL out here
I hear the bird and nature sounds
Molly is out here with me. She was sick all week but better now
Just spent most of the day fixing a billing issue
It should probably be fixed tomorrow. Talked with many helpful and kind people
Cloudy
I love clouds

What I love most about the list is its simplicity.  He can find the good every day, even in difficult situations.

One day when I came home frazzled from a particularly busy day at school, my husband noticed my disposition and suggested that I write a great things list. So I did, and I'm still at it. Here's mine for today.

November 3, 2022
After a two-month hiatus, I finally started writing my book again because I had to focus on the first two months of a very busy school year.

I have an accountability friend at work who is also writing a book and we've agreed to spur one another on to write each day through November.

I have another accountability friend from church who has a small business and we meet up four times a year to catch up and encourage one another to keep going with our business ventures.

I am all caught up with my school work and lesson planning and can enjoy my weekend.

We are hosting Thanksgiving this year and both our families should be coming. We haven't gathered together in about 3 years so it should be a great reunion!

God is good, so faithful, and has the best plans for my life! It is good to wait on him and His timetable for all matters big and small.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! (rhyme not intended)
