God is Love

Merry Christmas from the Kasper Family!

"If you could ask Jesus one question, what would it be?" Greg, asked our group as we sat in his living room after house church one Sunday morning. We had been alternating meetings there in addition to Zoom meetings and our regular location for services since the Pandemic.

We all took turns sharing our responses. “How do I consistently love people and not choke them?” asked one person's question to Jesus. Another, who just started coming back to church asked, “Am I going to get into heaven?” And someone else asked, ”Do you like sweet or savory?”

After a hardy chuckle on that last response, the leader of the discussion shared with us his question, “Why? Why do we have to go through all this? Why do we need to live out the lives we were given to live?”

A new sister in the faith answered his question easily, “he wanted someone to love.”

(And the crowd goes, “Awwwwww.”)

But isn’t true?

God wants to love us. He wants a relationship with us and He's made it possible through His Son, Jesus. I hope you ponder how deep, long, and wide God's love is for you this Christmas Season and all year long.

Merry Christmas!
